Norwegian police supposed that persons who were arrested due to Operation Gilde provided doping drugs to youth


Norwegian law enforcement officers have busted a large doping ring. Over 10 persons connected with illicit actions were arrested. Six individuals went to jail.
According to statements of the newspaper Dagens N?ringsliv (DN), the doping ring was located in Trondheim. DN published own investigation connected with illicit sale of anabolic steroids in Norway. Police investigated the case.
It is suggested that a secret center is located in Trondheim. It manages illicit distribution of doping preparations and money laundering.
The arrested persons were connected with bodybuilding, fitness and health industries in Norway. Some persons were arrested at their homes; others – in business offices, car lots and tram stops.
Police officers suggest that some individuals are masked by the names of Guru and Karma.
Robert Eilertsen is one of those who have been arrested. He is a manager and editor of a fitness blog. This person coached celebrated sportspeople within football, boxing, handball, etc.
It is supposed that Eilertsen and some other individuals have provided dangerous doping medications to Norwegian youth during numerous years.
About 60 police officers were involved in raids. The raids caused 11 arrests.
Since the investigation has not been finished, police officers don’t report about their further actions.
Norwegian customs officers and tax authorities assisted the investigation.
Numerous computers and certain documents were confiscated during raids of homes, business officers, cars, etc.
Eilertsen and Gunnar Strand Jacobsen, another arrested person, have denied their links with doping products. Jacobsen is the owner of Kaliber Gym in Trondheim, one of the most famous gyms in Norway. Jacobsen was personal trainer of sportspersons who got prizes. He coached athletes that attended to different sports. He is considered to be an experienced nutrition expert.
The raid was called “Operation Gilde”.
Eilertsen and Jacobsen are charged with sale of doping medicines and money laundering.

Legal business is often used for masking of illegal sale of medicines


Spain’s policemen arrested Scott Boote, a person, who was involved in illegal actions connected with an international drug ring producing stimulants that enhance sexual desire. Large measures of preparations were seized by police officers. It was estimated the street value of these drugs. It was claimed that it was almost ?3 million. A Briton, a 72-year-old man from Liverpool, was also questioned. According to reports of police, these two men produced 8 new sexual stimulants and offered them for sale per internet without examining patients. Six other persons were also questioned during this investigation. Investigators noticed that the individuals that were involved in this illicit drug ring got vehicles and another property due to sale of illegal sex drugs. Several bank accounts were blocked by police. Over 100,000 dosages of anabolic steroids, properties and vehicles were seized.
A spokesperson for Spanish police stated that all members of the drug ring lived quite luxuriously. They possess numerous properties and luxury cars. They purchased properties abroad in order to hide the shaded business. Investigators determined that the ring offered for sale sexual medicines for both males and females. The products were offered for sale on internet. Individuals from the whole world could order the products. So, people from the USA, the UK, Thailand, Malaysia, etc. were customers who acquired medicines from this ring. Three factories were established in Costa del Sol. Investigators suppose that those that were producing the products didn’t have proper knowledge for this purpose. According to them, the persons who were involved in the drug ring managed also legitimate business in order to hide the illicit one. They tried to provide legitimate appearance to illegal operations. Certain commercial companies were established by these people in order to mask the profits obtained due to illegal drug trade.
Police officers also found boxes that had to be sent to customers. Anabolic steroids were also found and confiscated by law enforcement officers. Packages, labels and leaflets were also found in possession of the arrested persons.
