Legalize doping in boxing!

Steroids are widely administered around the world. While some individuals use these drugs in order to treat several diseases, others administer them in order to induce enhancing muscle mass, get strength, decrease fat deposits, etc. Undoubtedly, no one will be ever able to contest positive effects that can be reached with the help of these drugs. But it is necessary to remember that steroids cause adverse results along with benefits. That’s why those who plan to apply these products should study potential dangers before they start taking these preparations.
Knowing about potential risks, you can find several methods in order to prevent or decrease them. Those that have ever used anabolic steroids know that some of them convert into estrogen in the body, causing such unwanted effects, as fluid retention, gynecomastia, fat accumulation, etc. Anti-estrogen products have capcity to prevent or at least to reduce severity of these health problems. Anabolic-androgenic steroids also suppress natural secretion of testosterone. Fortunately, there are some remedies that are able to restore this process.
Besides of preparations, there are also other ways to avoid or reduce unwanted consequences. Doses should be reduced; cycles must not be prolonged; appropriate stacks should be chosen, etc.
While several adverse consequences of anabolic steroids are obvious, others can be detected just with the help of lab tests. Thus, anabolic steroids may increase hematrocrit levels. This side consequence is quite dangerous. Elevated hematocrit levels lead to other serious unwanted results. Persons with this problem may face diseases of cardiovascular system and problems linked with blood circulation. Even heart attack and death may result from high hematocrit levels. That’s why it is needed to check hematocrit levels while administering anabolic steroids.
If a steroid user finds out that he/she has high hematocrit levels, this individual should consult his/her treating physician. Administration of steroids must be stopped. Health care providers prescribe drugs for reduction of hematocrit levels. So, hematocrit levels should return to their normal levels. Otherwise, further complications will occur.
Hematocrit levels should be maintained within normal range. There are several simple rules that should be kept by sportspersons for this purpose. Those that train hardly should consume much water. Moreover, it is recommended consuming grapefruit. It is stated that this fruit contains a compound which is able to reduce high hematocrit levels.
In case you desire to avoid having elevated hematocrit levels, don’t use anabolic steroids!

High hematocrit levels are potential negative effect of anabolic steroids

Tony Thompson, an American boxer, states that anabolic steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs should be allowed in boxing. The sportsman states that anti-doping laws and gun laws are similar. Who doesn’t break gun laws? Just good guys do it. As a result, good guys are at a disadvantage. Thus, the similar situation is linked with anti-doping rules. Just honest sportsmen don’t take steroids and/or other doping products. Thus, they fight with those that have enhanced their performance with the help of steroids and other related preparations.
It is stated that anabolic steroids are not permitted in sports because they are dangerous. What would you say about boxing in itself? Isn’t boxing dangerous? The answer is obvious.
But it is also claimed that it is necessary to ban steroids and other related medications in order to make boxing safer. Steroids and other doping products enhance performance. The more increased performance is, the more dangerous matches are. However it is true, would you ban anything which promotes performance of boxers? Thus, you ban steroids because they increase performance. Then prohibit trainings as well since they enhance performance too! So, you will reduce performance while reducing potential risks. What do you think about this aspect?
Tony Thompson also adds that detection tests are not efficient at all. While numerous sportspersons administer prohibited drugs, just some of them are caught and sentenced to suspensions. So, dopers have unfair advantage over those that keep anti-doping rules. There is no logic.
Of course, arguments provided by Tony Thompson are reasonable. Anti-doping rules make rounds more unfair. Furthermore, the ban of doping doesn’t make fights safer. Numerous boxers continue to take anabolic steroids and/or other banned drugs without being caught. They continue to fight and have success with the help of doping, while honest guys are at a disadvantage because they keep anti-doping laws.
Thus, if doping is allowed in boxing, fights will be fairer. Of course, they will remain unsafe. But they will be at least fair.
Tony Thompson has been harshly criticized for his arguments pro legalization of doping in boxing.

Doping is not new issue in sports

Steroids are permanently used by sportspersons, bodybuilders and by ordinary individuals. Since these preparations are banned in sports, doping scandals are reported day by day. Other remedies are administered along with anabolic-androgenic steroids. Many sportspersons are inclined to use heroin. You would probably wonder why heroin is applied in sports. It is believed that heroin is applied by athletes for relief of pain.
Studying history of doping in sports, you can see that sportspeople are ready to utilize numerous strange things, if these remedies have capacity to increase muscle mass, reduce fat deposits, add strength, speed recovery from muscle injuries and kill pains. Gorgets and pickle juice represent just some remedies that are utilized along with anabolic steroids.
Doping is not a new factor in sports. Sportspersons dope from ancient times. They put efforts to develop new remedies that can help them to reach several goals through increase of performance. It is often stated that sports are good for health. Sportspersons and bodybuilders are normally viewed as healthy persons. But it is a wrong point of view. Sports are associated with certain dangers for health. Athletes push their bodies till limits. They use some dangerous remedies that promote their succeeding, acquiring awards and getting money. Although certain sportspersons achieve excellent results linked with prizes, they ruin their health essentially. Some sportspersons and bodybuilders even use such medications that threaten to life. They do it in the name of physical performance and success in sports.
However new remedies for increase of performance are elaborated, you probably notice that the most of scandals are related to steroids and growth hormones. While several products appear and disappear quickly, anabolic-androgenic steroids are unlikely to disappear. However anti-doping officers try to eliminate administration of anabolic steroids from sports, their efforts are unsuccessful. While anti-doping officials introduce more effectual tests for detection of steroids and other related products, athletes and bodybuilders find more sophisticated ways to dope and avoid detection. Thus, numerous athletes dope while not being caught by anti-doping officers. Nobody can contest that anabolic steroids and certain other performance-enhancing drugs are widely abused in sports and bodybuilding. Usage of steroids is unlikely to be eliminated from sports.

Will Oscar Pistorius’ lawyers argue that steroids have cause aggression in their client?

Oscar Pistorius acknowledged that he had murdered his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp. But the athlete underlined that he had murdered her because he had mistaken her for  a burglar.
Police officers try to define why the Olympic athlete really murdered his girlfriend. They found anabolic steroids at the sportsman’s home.
Since anabolic steroids have been found in Oscar’s bedroom, it would be probably stated that steroids caused uncontrolled aggression in the athlete. Steroids would be blamed for the murder.
In fact, you should understand that it is quite hardly to state that steroids are responsible for aggression and violence. Studies connected with this issue are quite limited. According to results of several researches, users of steroids are predisposed to aggression, paranoia, jealousy, etc. It is claimed that those that take steroids are more likely to be involved in crimes than those who have nothing to do with these medicines. But it is important to consider that steroids may only contribute to aggression. Just these preparations alone can’t cause aggression. They turn out to be just contributive factors. Other factors should be also present for appearing of aggression. Circumstances play essential role in such situations. So, it is even impossible to determine whether steroids cause aggression or several circumstances. Violent cases should be reviewed as a complex of steroid use and circumstances.
It is also claimed by experts that enhanced testosterone levels are associated with aggression in several persons. So, it is necessary to notice here that while some individuals with increased levels of testosterone suffer from aggression, others with increased levels of testosterone are not predisposed to uncontrolled violence. This condition differs from one individual to another.
You can see that the link between intake of steroids and crimes is a complicated issue. Scientists have not studied this condition well enough to engage it. So, if defense lawyers of the Olympic athlete want to argue that anabolic steroids have made their client to kill his girlfriend, they should recognize that they are going to use controversial affirmations.

Collaboration of pharmaceutical companies with anti-doping officers

Nowadays many pharmaceutical companies are ready to collaborate with anti-doping officers in their war on intake of prohibited preparations in sports. It sounds strange but it is the reality. In fact, if you review the fate of EPO, you can understand why drug manufacturers agree to support efforts of anti-doping agencies. EPO is actually an effective remedy for treatment of anemia. Numerous persons with anemia that have taken EPO have been treated. But what do you think while hearing about this medicine? Almost every individual associates this remedy just with doping in sports. This product has been abused by the seven-time winner Lance Armstrong that has cheated the whole world. So, EPO is associated just with lying, disgrace, etc. Looking at this case, drug manufacturers try to “defend” their medicines from the similar fate. That’s why they work together with anti-doping officials.
Although certain pharmaceutical companies began to cooperate with anti-doping officials earlier, sometimes there were certain problems between them. Anti-doping officials criticized some pharmaceutical companies for their links to doping.
Nowadays relations between anti-doping agencies and pharmaceutical companies are better. Drug manufacturers share detailed information about new medicines with anti-doping agencies. It is valuable information for development of detection tests for these products. While anti-doping officials learn how drugs are manufactured, how they pass into body, how they work in the body, they can develop more efficacious tests for these drugs.
For example, the company Roche that introduced the medication CERA helped anti-doping agencies to introduce a detection test for it. Later other drug manufacturers followed the example of Roche. The company GlaxoSmithKline went so far, as it sponsored an anti-doping lab during Olympics in London.
While relations between anti-doping officers and huge pharmaceutical companies become closer, smaller pharmaceutical companies started to collaborate with anti-doping agencies too. While earlier drug manufacturers haven’t wanted to discuss about their relations with anti-doping officers publicly, today they don’t fear to announce about this aspect.

Wrong conceptions about anti-doping tests

It is not necessary to subject athletes to tests for doping substances. Many cases show that tests for prohibited medications are not efficacious. In addition to this factor, it is important to realize that application of tests by anti-doping officers is illogical at Olympics. The main purpose of Olympic sportspersons is following: to become faster, stronger and to be at the top level. Thus, why should you keep sportspeople far from drugs that could help them to achieve this result?
As you know, steroids and other related preparations boost performance. Thus, athletes should be allowed to use these remedies in order to increase physical performance.
A lot of individuals say that steroids and other doping products make competitions unfair. Is this point of view true? No, it wrong. You should comprehend that tests for anabolic steroids and other related preparations make competitions unfair. Many athletes apply doping products while avoiding detection. So, some sportspersons apply anabolic steroids; others don’t break anti-doping rules. As a result, dopers have unfair advantage over non-dopers. It’s unfair. Let all athletes have similar access to performance-enhancing drugs. Thus, competitions will be fairer.
But debating about unfairness in sports, you should not forget about other aspects which have more significant impact of fairness/unfairness than anabolic steroids and other related medicines. Several sportspersons live in developed countries; others are in less developed countries. Certain sportspersons have money to purchase necessary equipment; others can’t afford it. Some countries can sponsor sportspersons, coaches, sport physicians and managers; others are not able to do it. Thus, unfairness should be discussed here.
Olympic athletes spend much time while training. They sacrifice time, money, etc. That’s why it is illogical to disqualify those who are caught using anabolic steroids and other doping products.
While sportspeople are sentenced to bans for application of steroids and several other chemical substances, they are never banned for usage of herbs and certain potions. It is stated that anabolic steroids and other chemical substances are suspended in sports because they can increase physical performance. But what is for herbs and potions? They are also capable to increase energy. Nevertheless, these remedies are not banned in sports.  Chinese athletes use herbal remedies and win.
Of course, you may argue that anabolic steroids and certain other preparations may lead to grave adverse consequences. Undoubtedly, certain banned products may cause serious health troubles. But those that plan to use these medications do own research. They are aware of possible risks. Let sportspersons decide whether it is worthy to take such drugs. If they are ready to ruin health, let them do it because they are masters upon own bodies.

Steroids sold at gyms are obtained from underground labs

David Howman, the CEO of the WADA, claims that China is the chief source of raw materials utilized by underground labs for manufacture of anabolic steroids, HGH and other related medications. Raw powders are shipped from this country. Then underground labs manufacture illicit medicines that are sold by dealers at gyms and on the streets.
The black market of anabolic steroids controls sales of illegal products on the white market. The black market turns out to be the source of medicines which are purchasable on the white market. It is believed that almost all preparations which are sold have been originally obtained from underground labs that have used raw materials from China.
Elite athletes are frequently blamed for application of anabolic steroids and other related medications. Since doping scandals appear each day, many individuals consider that steroids and other related products are mainly administered by top sportspersons. But it is important to notice that this a wrong opinion. Some experts have defined that steroids and other related preparations are more frequently administered by high school students and aged individuals who try to improve their appearance. While students want to increase muscle mass with the help of anabolic steroids and certain other illicit drugs, aged persons try to add strength and lower fat deposits with the help of these drugs.
Unluckily, legal supplements often contain steroidal ingredients. Companies include such compounds intentionally. As a result, those that apply just nutritional and/or sport supplements turn out to be dopers. According to David Howman, the CEO of the WADA, it is important to control supplement industry in order to prevent appearing of supplements that contain steroidal ingredients.

Why is it better to legalize doping in sports?

What is your opinion linked with legalization of doping in sports?  Certain individuals say that it is time to legalize it. Others are against it. What is your opinion?
Those that are against legalization of doping in sports say that anabolic steroids and other related medications represent essential evil. They may cause severe side results in users. Moreover, a doper has unfair advantage over a non-doper during competitions.
According to another opinion, application of steroids and other doping products should be allowed in sports. Let athletes use whatever they want! If they want to take anabolic steroids, let them do it! If they plan to administer other medications, let them do it! If they desire to administer some drugs, let doctors monitor their usage! Doctors know what their patients should do in order to prevent some adverse consequences. Thus, doping products will not lead to severe negative results. As a result, administration of steroids and other related medications will be relatively safe for health and life of users.
As you know, anabolic steroids and other doping products are currently prohibited in sports. When athletes are suspected and/or found guilty of doping, scandals appear. Such cases are often discussed during TV shows, in magazines, newspapers, on internet, etc. You must know that every scandal usually contains not only truth but also gossips, exaggerations, etc. As a result, you can’t assure whether several affirmations are true or not.
Those who are against legalization of doping in sports believe that athletes increase performance unnaturally with the help of anabolic steroids and other related drugs. Discussing about enhancement of physical performance, you should remember about enhancement of sexual performance, cognitive abilities, improvement of health, etc. Why do we apply certain medications and supplements, improving our health and life, while blaming sportspersons who try to promote performance with steroids and other doping products? Isn’t it hypocrisy? You would notice that anabolic steroids and some other performance-enhancing drugs cause health problems. Yes, it is true. But what do you think about usage of caffeine and nicotine? They are accepted in the society. But it is necessary to notice that caffeine and nicotine result in more serious health problems than anabolic steroids and other related preparations. Nonetheless, users of caffeine and nicotine are not so harshly criticized, as consumers of steroids.
Anti-doping agencies hope that they will soon eradicate doping from sports. “Competitions will be fair”, - they exclaim. But it is necessary to realize that doping will be never eliminated from sports. Anti-doping officials will not be ever able to do it. While they elaborate new tests and enhance sanctions for application of prohibited substances, athletes find new ways to avoid detection. So, anyone should understand that this conflict will never end, if doping is not legalized in sports.

Be honest while blaming some athletes and praising others!

Dan Le Batard, a newspaper sportswriter, claims that it is needed to think over our attitude to doping. Do we evaluate various athletes the same way? Do we accept usage of steroids and other related remedies by athletes? What is our real attitude to athletes that utilize anabolic steroids and/or other performance-enhancing drugs/procedures? Do we admire of those that have success in sports because of anabolic steroids and other related remedies?
Sometimes the society is guilty for doping of sportspersons. The society should be blamed for abnormal actions of sportspersons. The society praises abnormal things which occur in the world of sports. The society admires of those that have ligaments taken from cadavers. The society praises athletes that are involved in different abnormal actions: playing football with catheter, cutting fingers off, etc. Sportspersons do a lot to be celebrated. They submit to various procedures that are not required for their life. Furthermore, they use such drugs and procedures which cause various health problems in them. Why do they do such things? The answer is obvious: they want to hear words of admiration; they desire to be prominent. Thus, they do it for athletic performance. While athletes apply remedies that cause essential harm in them, we support their behavior through our admiration, awards, money, etc.
Actually, the society is full of hypocrisy. While we are inclined to blame steroids and certain other banned medicines, we don’t condemn sportspersons that utilize various procedures for enhancement of their athletic performance. While we demonize several dopers, we praise others. Why are several products and procedures banned for enhancement of performance, while others are allowed? Let be real! If you blame anabolic steroids, don’t support those that use alternatives to these products which are also able to promote physical performance. If you want to see natural talents of athletes, don’t admire of those that submit to different procedures for enhancement of athletic performance! Before you demonize or admire someone/something, ponder over this aspect! Don’t hurry and be reasonable!

Prominent athletes obtain doping products from anti-aging clinics

Many anti-aging clinics are linked with doping scandals. It’s naturally because they supply athletes and bodybuilders with steroids and other related medicines. When proper authorities search anti-aging clinics and confiscate documents, they find out that some well-known sport figures belong to clients of the clinics.
Lately several anti-aging clinics located in Miami were investigated. Feds found that the clinics offered prescription drugs for sale illegally. The clinics sold preparations for enhancement of muscle mass, weight loss, enhancement of strength, etc.
According to the newspaper the Miami New Times, the anti-aging clinic Biogenesis was found guilty of illicit sale of performance-enhancing drugs. Moreover, such well-known baseball players, as Alex Rodriquez and Melky Cabrera purchased doping products at Biogenesis of America. So, the anti-aging clinic appeared to be related to one of the biggest steroid scandals in baseball.
Medical records of Biogenesis were received from an employee of the clinic. The records were displayed on the website of the newspaper Miami New Times. Reporters said that the employee who gave the records didn’t want to be identified.
It is reported that steroids, HGH, IGF-1 and other prescription medicines are widely offered for sale illegally by anti-aging clinics. Furthermore, clinics hire physicians that provide fake prescriptions. Prescriptions for steroids and other related drugs are often given to clients without required evaluation of their personal conditions. Furthermore, physicians supply clients with needed prescriptions even without seeing them. In additions to these aspects, some corrupt physicians allow anti-aging clinics to utilize their prescription pads. So, anti-aging clinics sell anabolic steroids, painkillers and other prescription medicines illicitly, as if they acted legally.
When illegal operations of anti-aging clinics become obvious, owners of clinics, physicians and certain employees are sentenced to several sanctions. Nonetheless, the risk to receive punishment doesn’t stop clinics from their illegal activities. However proper authorities try to eliminate illicit sale of prescription drugs, their success is not yet significant.

Frank Thomas is glad that he has never doped

However certain individuals consider that doping will be never eliminated from sports, you can come across more optimistic points of view related to this issue.
Frank Thomas, a former MLB player claims that he has had success has in baseball without administration of steroids and other related drugs. He is happy that he has never doped. Looking at Sammy Sosa, Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens, he is proud of his accomplishments in baseball. The baseball stars Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens and Sammy Sosa have achieved excellent success. But now their accomplishments are removed. These athletes are claimed to be liars. They haven’t been elected for the Baseball Hall of Fame, despites of their success. Frank Thomas is happy about this aspect. He notes that dopers must never be in the Hall of Fame. Moreover, Frank Thomas claims that he has played during the steroid era successfully without application of prohibited products.
Frank Thomas notices that he has respected the great baseball players Sammy Sosa, Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens.  But since they have taken steroids and/or other forbidden medicines, Frank Thomas doesn’t consider them stars longer. However, he doesn’t have critical words for them. But Frank Thomas thinks that usage of performance-enhancing drugs is their decision and they have to suffer the consequences, being out of the Baseball Hall of Fame.
Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens and Sammy Sosa have been tainted. Their accomplishments don’t cost anything because they are fake. Such persons shouldn’t be praised.
Frank Thomas believes that the MLB acts correctly, agreeing to elaborate blood testing for HGH. While baseball players have been subjected to urine testing for HGH, they will be also subjected to blood testing for this forbidden product regularly. So, Frank Thomas claims that the anti-doping system becomes more effectual in the MLB. He suggests that doping will be eradicated from this sport totally. Games will be soon “clean”, according to Frank Thomas.

Performance-enhancing drugs should be allowed in sports

A lot of professional athletes got steroids and other doping products from Biogenesis, a Miami anti-aging clinic. The famous baseball stars Alex Rodriquez, Melky Cabrera and Bartolo Colon also belonged to persons that got anabolic steroids at this clinic.
What is unusual here? - Nothing. Anabolic steroids and other related drugs are widely used in baseball and in other sports. Sportspersons get these preparations at pharmacies, clinics, etc. A lot of anti-ageing clinics, drug manufacturers and other related establishments sell steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs illegally. Biogenesis is not the only clinic that is involved in illegal operations linked with anabolic steroids and other prescription preparations. Sportspersons find different methods to acquire steroids and other related products and apply them. However anti-doping officers try to eradicate doping from sports, their efforts are not successful.
Do you consider that anti-doping agencies don’t work enough well? Do you believe that they should establish more sophisticated drug testing policies? Do you consider that they don’t do their job appropriately?
It is needed to realize that no any drug testing program is able to eradicate doping from sports completely. Athletes find several ways to avoid detection. Doping is a part of sports. It exists from ancient time. Even ancient Greeks and Romans had several methods to enhance their performance to win. Will athletes discontinue administering steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs now?
Some sportspersons purchase undetectable medicines and take them. Moreover, they hire experts that supply them with recommendations on application of anabolic steroids and/or other performance-enhancing drugs. So, some athletes have unfair advantage over others. Anti-doping officials can’t change the situation. They are not able to make sports “clean”. What is it needed to do under such circumstances? It is probably necessary to legalize doping in professional sports. Thus, anyone will be allowed to apply whatever he/she wants. As a result, no any athlete will have unfair advantage over another.
But since anabolic steroids and other related drugs are banned in sports, athletes try to find methods to obtain and apply these medications, avoiding detection. When it becomes evident that certain athletes dope, scandals appear.

Lance Armstrong is just one of thousands dopers that have avoided detection

The American cyclist Lance Armstrong was denying doping for years. However he was accused of taking forbidden medicines numerous times, he continued to claim that he never administered prohibited medications. Even when the USADA proved that the cyclist doped, he lied about doping. But ultimately, Lance Armstrong decided to admit to using EPO, testosterone and blood transfusions.
Although a lot of athletes took performance-enhancing drugs and avoided detection successfully, there was anything uncommon in the doping case of Lance Armstrong. The American cyclist reached great success in sports. He acquired 7 Tour de France titles. He won also some other awards. Lance Armstrong obtained worldwide success. Although he submitted to a lot of drug tests, he never tested positive for any banned product.
Of course, Lance Armstrong is not the only athlete who has doped. Sportspersons have administered prohibited preparations during past years. They continue to apply steroids and other related medicines nowadays. And professional athletes will administer them in future. Application of steroids and other doping products is spread in professional sports. Almost each athlete takes banned medications. While certain athletes test positive for banned medications and receive suspensions, others avoid detection.
When it comes to the attitude to Lance Armstrong’s doping, it’s mainly negative. Numerous persons got essential anger, when the famous cyclist admitted to applying EPO, the steroid testosterone and blood transfusions. A lot of individuals believed in him. They thought that the legendary American cyclist was “clean”. That’s why their disappointment was significant.
And what is about “clean” sports? Anti-doping officials should think about this issue. While anti-doping officers claim that they have sophisticated tests to eradicate doping from sports, many sportspersons use anabolic steroids and/or other related drugs and remain undetectable.
While Lance Armstrong has admitted to taking prohibited drugs, anti-doping officials should acknowledge that their programs are weak.

Polish boxer: hard working is key to success in professional sports

Przemyslaw Saleta’s attitude to Lance Armstrong’s steroid use differs from that of thousands individuals. The polish boxer doesn’t condemn the cyclist. Przemyslaw Saleta notes that Lance Armstrong has acted like almost each professional sportsman. The 7-time Tour de France winner has taken forbidden medicines and cheated about his doping. Nothing is surprising. Almost each sportsman takes anabolic steroids and other related products.
While a lot of athletes that take banned medications are caught by anti-doping officials and sentenced to suspensions, Lance Armstrong has never tested positive for any banned product. He was not caught, despites of having been subjected to many drug tests. Undoubtedly, Lance Armstrong is not the only athlete who has avoided detection successfully. Let take Chinese sportspersons as an example! They are sponsored by the state. The state provides money enough to get such medications which are undetectable. Thus, a lot of Chinese athletes administer performance-enhancing drugs without being detected. It becomes evident that sportspeople that have much money may administer doping products and remain undetectable. Lance Armstrong is only one of such sportspersons.
The polish boxer Przemyslaw Saleta has an unusual proposal. He thinks that steroids and other related medications should be legalized in professional sports. According to this sportsman, steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs are not dangerous for health, if they are used by adults that possess sufficient information about ways to consume them correctly. Przemyslaw Saleta thinks that application of anabolic steroids and other doping products by athletes should be supervised by doctors. So, athletes are likely to prevent serious side consequences.
Moreover, Przemyslaw Saleta claims that steroids and other doping products are indispensible in such sports, as cycling. Cycling is a sport where athletes have to endure too extreme conditions while training and competing. So, anabolic steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs help cyclists to maintain health in better conditions. Cycling in itself is dangerous without steroids and other related medicines.
But Przemyslaw Saleta warns that steroids and other related products should be banned in amateur sports. Moreover, young athletes must not be also permitted to administer these preparations because they may cause significant harm in them. Teenagers must not apply such medications because they may experience grave negative results.
Nonetheless, Przemyslaw Saleta claims that it is wrong to suppose that anabolic steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs represent the key to success. According to him, success can be obtained with the help of hard working.

Thousands compounding pharmacies violate laws

A lot of drug manufacturers violate laws. But just some of them are sanctioned harshly. Numerous drug manufacturers avoid serious penalties without significant efforts. But just when serious scandals result from illicit actions of drug manufacturers, they are sentenced to proper penalties. For example, anyone is aware of the meningitis outbreak which has spread across the country because of contaminated steroids manufactured by a Massachusetts compounding pharmacy. Of course, owners and officials of the drug manufacturer will be sanctioned properly. But when illicit operations of drug manufacturers don’t result in such serious troubles, they go on with their business successfully.
Journalists report about illegal operations linked with steroids, painkillers and other prescription preparations day by day. But you may notice that compounding pharmacies get only light sentencing for illicit sale of steroids and other doping products. Thus, athletes and bodybuilders have free access to performance-enhancing drugs. They purchase anabolic steroids and other related products from compounding centers and administer them for athletic goals. Furthermore, certain pharmacies provide fake prescriptions for steroids. Corrupt doctors supply customers of compounding pharmacies with prescriptions that are given without required evaluation of customers’ individual conditions.
Compounding pharmacies are responsible not only for illicit distribution of steroids. Some pharmaceutical companies manufacture medicines in unsterile conditions. As a result, many individuals get tainted products and experience severe complications, using  these preparations. Some persons even die from contamination resulted from usage of tainted drugs. As you are probably informed, 39 individuals died because of fungal meningitis caused by tainted methylprednisolone acetate injections.
The late contamination with fungal meningitis should have an impact on decisions of appropriate authorities. Criminal sanctions should take place. Otherwise, health of thousands persons is in a great danger. Prescription drugs must be sold only under real prescriptions. All products must be manufactured in sterile conditions. If pharmaceutical companies don’t obey all laws, they must be sanctioned. They must not be permitted to continue with business, if they violate laws. Forfeiture of licenses should be accompanied by other harsh penalties.

Whoopi Goldberg and Bob Weiner express their thoughts about Lance Armstrong’ testicular cancer

Although the American cyclist Lance Armstrong has already forfeited his Tour de France titles and other awards, his doping scandal is still widely debated. Numerous persons are still expressing their attitudes to this case. Not only his possible application of performance-enhancing drugs is debated but some individuals also contend about Lance Armstrong’s testicular cancer. Why has Lance Armstrong suffered from this disease in his young years? What has caused this illness in him?
Whoopi Goldberg, a celebrated American actress is also implicated in debates related to Lance Armstrong’s steroid scandal. While she has been mainly involved in discussions linked with marijuana and other related drugs, now she has chosen to join those who fight against steroids and other related preparations.
According to Whoopi Goldberg, Lance Armstrong has got testicular cancer because of steroids. The actress suggests that anabolic steroids are likely to lead to cancer. She believes that these medications may induce appearing and developing cancer. Whoopi Goldberg claims that specialists should inform people about potential links between steroids and cancer. The actress notices that specialists can find out whether Lance Armstrong has developed cancer because of steroids.
But what do other famous persons consider about Lance Armstrong’s testicular cancer? Bob Weiner, a celebrated political commentator, notices that anyone should be very careful while expressing suggestions that steroids are responsible for development of cancer. This person acknowledges that these drugs cause many undesirable effects which are quite dangerous for users’ health and even life. But he notes that it is unusual to demonize steroids for cancer. Such suppositions are serious. Bob Weiner considers that this issue has nothing to do with anti-doping morality.
Nonetheless, Bob Weiner is inclined to believe that Lance Armstrong’s testicular cancer has developed because of anabolic steroids. This illness normally doesn’t occur in young persons. Why then has Lance Armstrong got it? Since scientific literature suggests that connections between cancer and steroid abuse may exist, Bob Weiner doesn’t deny statements of Whoopi Goldberg.
But as it has been already noticed, this issue doesn’t belong to those of anti-doping policies. Anti-doping officials focus on morality and they don’t care about protection of sportspeople’s health.

Steroids in world of bodybuilding

Manufacturers of medicines are inclined to illicit activities. Numerous companies manufacture and sell counterfeit preparations. As a result, consumers don’t obtain needed benefits. Furthermore, fake medicines may lead to severe unusual negative reactions in users. In addition to these illegal activities, drug manufacturers also distribute prescription medicines illegally. Anabolic steroids, HGH, painkillers and other products are offered for sale without any prescription. Thus, a lot of persons apply these preparations for non-therapeutic purposes. Anabolic-androgenic steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs are widely used for bodybuilding goals. Sportspersons and bodybuilders buy and administer these medications in order to enhance muscle mass and get strength. Many persons desire to be more muscular and combat tiredness during workouts and competitions. That’s why they choose to apply anabolic steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs. Several other individuals try to look nicer. So, they administer several prescription medications for anti-aging purposes.
Steroids, HGH and other doping products are widely sold at online drug stores. Some companies even hire corrupt physicians who supply customers with proper prescriptions. These physicians provide prescriptions without suitable evaluation of clients and even without seeing them. Getting prescriptions, numerous persons purchase anabolic steroids and other related medicnes and apply them for non-clinical goals.
Although distribution and application of steroids for non-medical needs are prohibited under laws of many countries, many companies avoid penalties successfully. While several pharmacies and persons are found guilty of illegal actions linked with drugs, they are rarely punished appropriately. Furthermore, they continue to produce and distribute steroids illegally.
Another problem related to illegal manufacture and sale of steroids and other related preparations is following: several companies manufacture drugs in unsterile conditions. So, persons that administer such drugs may be contaminated with several illnesses. Sometimes contamination with a dangerous illness may be fatal for some users. The meningitis outbreak that has recently occurred in the USA is widely known around the world. 39 individuals died because they used tainted steroid injections. So, proper officials should control manufacture of medications. If safety is not at the top level, health of users is in a great danger.

Massachusetts pharmacy had to be closed earlier

In 2003 the FDA had in mind to shut down the New England Compounding Center (NECC) that recently caused the meningitis outbreak in several states of America. The Massachusetts pharmacy manufactured tainted Methylprednisolone Acetate injections. More than 400 persons who applied the contaminated steroid injections were sickened with fungal meningitis. This disease turned out to be fatal for 39 individuals.
According to a late report written by the House of Energy and Commerce Committee, the meningitis outbreak could have been prevented. The report disclosed numerous cases linked with the NECC which should have been shut down by the FDA earlier.
The FDA claimed in 2003 that the NECC should not have produced drugs till improving of the situation. But finally the FDA didn’t ban manufacture of medications at the NECC. Since the NECC was considered to be a pharmacy, it should have been ruled by Massachusetts officials. So, the FDA let Massachusetts colleagues to resolve the problem. As for Massachusetts officials, they didn’t ban manufacture of products immediately. The company continued to produce medicines. Just Barry Cadden, the owner of the company, got reprimand.
Moreover, the NECC was guilty of several illegal activities. The company acted improperly under its license. While the NECC was a pharmacy, it acted as a manufacturer and shipped thousands dosages of medications to hospitals and individual patients.
In 2002 several persons experienced unusual side effects after they had applied bethamethasone injections produced by the Massachusetts pharmacy.
Later certain individuals that administered methylprednisolone acetate injections produced by the NECC were contaminated with bacterial meningitis. Since these persons got full recovery because of antibiotics, the case was forgotten. The Massachusetts company was not punished for the contaminated drugs.
These and even several other cases show that the NECC should have punished earlier. The company should have been shut down for its illicit and inappropriate actions. But the Massachusetts pharmacy was never sentenced to any severe penalties. As a result, the company continued to manufacture preparations that were dangerous for consumers’ health. Finally, the meningitis outbreak caused by tainted injections of the NECC spread to some states and sickened a lot of individuals. If the company had been shut down earlier, the contamination with deadly fungal meningitis would not have taken place.

FDA didn’t utilize its authority to prevent meningitis outbreak

The meningitis outbreak resulted from contaminated epidural steroid injections could have been avoided. But since the FDA didn’t use its authority for this purpose suitably, more than 500 persons were contaminated with this disease and 39 recipients of the injections died.
Tennessee officials turned out to show unbelievable competence under such circumstances. They were praised by legislators for their decisive actions.
It was reported that numerous persons that had been given steroid injections produced by the NECC experienced complications. When Tennessee health officials were informed about this situation, they enforced all health facilities to stop utilizing medications produced by the compounding pharmacy from Massachusetts. Furthermore, they informed immediately about contamination health officials of other states. Actions of Tennessee health officials were rapid and definite. They didn’t hesitate and did everything in order to prevent further contamination and improve help those that were already contaminated with meningitis.
If Tennessee health officials hadn’t been so decisive and competent, more persons would have been contaminated with fungal meningitis and more deaths would have been.
As for the FDA, it showed incompetence. It didn’t use its power definitely in order to improve the situation. Then it tried to justify its negligence, saying that its authority was not cleared and established enough to influence on such large-scale compounding centers, as the NECC. But legislators didn’t accept the FDA’s excuse.
Tennessee health officials merit acquiring a gold medal for their actions.
Although certain individuals believe that they could avoid contamination, warnings about risks continue to exist. Numerous persons are still at the hospital. Others are visited by health officials. If any side results occur at injection sites of those that have applied the tainted steroids, they must contact physicians at once.

Betamethasone and Triamcinolone produced by NECC are contaminated

It is widely reported about the meningitis outbreak which has occurred in certain states of America. Contaminated Methylprednisolone Acetate injections resulted in fungal meningitis in more than 500 patients. The contamination turned out to be tragic for 39 patients: they died. The majority of deaths took place in Tennessee.
It was defined that contaminated steroid injections had been manufactured by the New England Compounding Center (NECC) that is located in Massachusetts. The FDA tested the company in order to define what resulted in contamination and see the situation at the NECC. It was affirmed by the FDA that the contaminated steroid injections were indeed produced by this compounding pharmacy.
According to the Associated Press, the FDA claimed that it was obvious that manufacture of medications was unsterile at the NECC. The FDA noticed that leaking water and uncontrolled temperature were just some problems at the company. The equipment used for preparing of solution for injections was unsterile.
Furthermore, the FDA stated that there were several other contaminants. Several bacterial contaminants were found at the NECC. Although these contaminants were not real pathogens, they could result in infection too. These bacterial contaminants were found in such preparations, as Betamethasone and Triamcinolone. There were not any situations reported about contamination caused by usage of these medications. But it was claimed that these medicines were also capable to cause contamination. However the bacterial contaminants were anywhere in the environment, they had not to be in drugs. This fact pointed at unsterile conditions at the compounding center and affirmed that the Methylprednisolone Acetate injections turned out to be contaminated with fungal meningitis because they were manufactured in improper conditions.
The situation made it clear that new rules on pharmacies should be implemented. Contamination should be prevented. Otherwise, public health is in danger in the USA.

Barry Larkin: players associated with doping must be kept out of Baseball Hall of Fame

The retired MLB player Barry Larkin claims about his negative attitude to sportspersons that have ever used anabolic steroids and/or other prohibited products. He claims that such baseball players who have ever been associated with performance-enhancing drugs must not be in the Baseball Hall of Fame. To be introduced to the Hall of Fame is the highest honor which is gotten by baseball players. Barry Larkin has been elected for the Hall of Fame last year. He considers that dopers should not get the highest honor. They should understand that they have made a serious mistake, when they have decided to take steroids and/or other related products. Their decision means that they should be kept out of this club forever.
Barry Larkin belongs to the most successful baseball players. He has acquired certain awards, while playing baseball professionally.
Barry Larkin also notes about Pete Rose that is kept out of the Baseball Hall of Fame. This athlete has gambled on baseball games. That’s why he has been banned from professional baseball for the entire life. Thus, he doesn’t have any possibility to enter the Hall of Fame. Barry Larkin thinks that those that have ever applied forbidden medications should get similar punishment. They must not be introduced into the Hall of Fame.
Barry Larkin has played during the steroid era. He doesn’t plan to demonize those that have played with and against him. He doesn’t make hasty conclusions about other baseball players. Barry Larkin underlines that no any sportsman should be blamed, if his guilt has not been proven. He is considered to be innocent until it will be evident that he has really used anabolic steroids and/or other related medicines.
Barry Larkin also takes part in educating young sportspeople about dangers linked with administration of anabolic steroids. He has formed a charity foundation which has been called after his name. So, the retired baseball player puts great efforts to make baseball clean. He urges young people not to administer steroids and other doping products. Barry Larkin desires to see baseball drug-free.

FDA: ambiguity must be eradicated from rules on pharmacies

The fungal meningitis outbreak that began in September 2012 had evident influence upon America. Contaminated injectable steroids were produced by the New England Compounding Center (located in Massachusetts) and applied by many persons. As a result, over 400 patients were contaminated with fungal meningitis in over 20 states. 39 persons sickened with this disease died. 14 deaths happened in Tennessee.
It became evident that it needed to do anything for prevention of such situations. Contamination must not occur in future. The FDA had to meet with representatives of all states in order to discuss this problem. Thus, recently a meeting took place in order to find ways linked with prevention of contamination in the future.
It was underlined during the meeting that new rules on compounding centers should be elaborated.
Representatives of some states said that they did proper job in their states and no any person suffered from troubles related to contamination. Moreover, they noticed critically that they didn’t know what happened in other states.
When it comes to the FDA, its authority over such cases is not established properly. Federal court cases which were during past years cut the authority of the FDA essentially. Moreover, several laws seem to be unclear.
Margaret Hamburg, the FDA Commissioner, offered to improve the situation through the following modifications:
- to control training of state regulators;
- to induce sharing information between the FDA and states;
- to dispose of ambiguity in laws.

These items seem to be reasonable. Such changes must help to promote improving public health of Americans. Of course, if rules contain ambiguity, no any agreement will be achieved. That’s why new laws should be implemented and existing laws should be modified.
The FDA believes that state regulators will coact with it in order to prevent manufacturing and shipping contaminated medicines.

Lance Armstrong will be always remembered in history of sports

Another year has gone away. Thinking about 2012, what will you note about sports? Which names will you pronounce? Will you say about great baseball players? Will you talk about the ashamed American cyclist Lance Armstrong? Will you note about the London Olympics? Will you discuss concussions of football players? Will you notice about suicides committed by some professional football players? What will you notice about Melky Cabrera?
Of course, everyone will remember the case related to Lance Armstrong while thinking about sports of 2012. Every person will note about the role of steroids in cycling and in other sports. Any individual will notice about possible unwanted effects of steroids taken for muscle and strength gains. Any individual interested in sports will remember what reporters have presented about steroids, cheating in sports and many ways of sportspeople to succeed in professional sports.
Thinking about sports of 2012, you will possibly notice about the steroid era in baseball and integrity of this sport. You will also mention about criminal deeds of Jerry Sandusky and his coaching career at Penn State.
But let guess what future generations will remember. What will historians discuss one hundred years later? Will they focus on cases about James LeBron, Melky Cabrera and Jerry Sandusky? Will they remember concussions of professional football players? However they will possibly talk over these cases, the most heat debates will be related to Lance Armstrong’s steroid scandal. This is a case which will be never forgotten. Numerous individuals will remember accomplishments of Lance Armstrong in cycling and his further downfall. Undoubtedly, they will also note about his foundation Livestrong and impact of his disgraced reputation upon this organization. They will remember that intake of steroids led Lance Armstrong to loss of Tour de France titles, distancing from Livestrong and several other troubles. The legendary cyclist will be ever in the memory of the American society.

Should dopers be in Baseball Hall of Fame?

Fans of baseball and many other individuals seem to be indignant by results of voting for the Hall of Fame. Some brilliant players have not entered the Baseball Hall of Fame. It is not surprisingly that you also ask why they have not been supported. Under rules of voting, those that have manifested amazing baseball skills and contributed to their teams obviously should be elected. It goes without saying that such baseball players, as Roger Clemens, Barry Bonds, Sammy Sosa, Rafael Palmeiro, Mark McGwire and certain other individuals have displayed splendid skills and achievements while playing professionally. Why aren’t they in the Baseball Hall of Fame?
Numerous voters say that they will never support those that have ever been related to anabolic steroids and/or other related products. Dopers must be punished. Future generations should realize that they will never really succeed, if they apply doping products.
What would you do, if you were a voter? Would you support consumers of steroids?
Actually, voters never possess entire information about admitted and suspected consumers of steroids. You can’t prove that Roger Clemens has really taken doping products. Many persons have suspicions but there is no any steroid evidence. How may voters refuse to support him? Are they sure that he has taken anabolic steroids and other prohibited preparations? –No, they aren’t. That’s why it is unfair to keep Roger Clemens out of the Baseball Hall of Fame just because of suspicions.
While certain voters are ready to support suspected steroid users, they state that they will never vote for an admitted doper. However it seems to be right, let review the situation better! Have steroids played any great role in success of certain baseball player? For example, if even Roger Clemens has administered performance-enhancing drugs, it is possible to convince anyone that he has had great success not because of steroids. Great accomplishment of this famous baseball player have been displayed before his alleged steroid use. According to several statements, Roger Clemens has taken steroids since 1998 and then in 2000 and 2001.  But the most amazing achievements have been done by him before 1998. So, nobody can affirm that anabolic steroids have helped Roger Clemens to succeed in professional baseball. That’s why he should be in the Hall of Fame.
Furthermore, why are numerous persons inclined to blame only steroid users? Isn’t it the society that presses sportspersons to start using anabolic steroids and other related products?

What do members of Baseball Hall of Fame believe about steroid users?

Several Hall of Famers claim that steroid users must never be in their club. They believe that such baseball players, as Sammy Sosa, Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens don’t deserve to be in the Baseball Hall of Fame. They are very pleased that these persons didn’t receive needed percentage of voting to enter the Hall of Fame. According to them, it is fair. They allege that otherwise our kids will be in confusion. They will believe that they are permitted to administer steroids and whatever they want and remain unpunished. So, it would be a negative example for future generations. Al Kaline, Goose Gossage and some others that belong to the Baseball Hall of Fame have this point of view. They even notice about cycling, as a good example to follow.
What happened actually in the world of cycling? The successful American cyclist was accused of administering banned medications. As a result, he was stripped of his 7 Tour de France titles and sentenced to life-time ban.
Thus, certain Hall of Famers note that cycling is a good example for baseball. Baseball players that are found guilty of doping should be banned from this sport entirely. Record books must not contain information about success of those that have been caught using forbidden substances. Those that have cheated should be punished appropriately.
Nonetheless, not every member of the Baseball Hall of Fame has similar opinion. For example, Juan Marichal supports Barry Bonds, Sammy Sosa, Mark McGwire, Roger Clemens, etc. He says that these baseball players should be elected for the Hall of Fame. These athletes are stars in baseball. Nobody could prove that they have actually used performance-enhancing drugs. Since there is no any proof, suspicions mean nothing.
Under rules related to voting for the Hall of Fame, baseball players that have great skills and those that have contributed to their teams obviously should be elected for the Hall of Fame.  Undoubtedly, Sammy Sosa, Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens were great players. They made obvious contributions to their teams. That’s why they should be elected for the Hall of Fame.

Angel “Memo” Hernandez didn’t provide steroids to his boxer

Every fan noted that the body of the American boxer Juan Manuel Marquez had been altered essentially. What caused such dramatic changes in the sportsperson?
Since Juan Manuel Marquez is connected with the admitted steroid dealer Angel “Memo” Hernandez, many persons suppose that the boxer’s muscles have been enhanced because of steroids and/or other related products. Angel “Memo” Hernandez has been employed as a strength coach of Juan Manuel Marquez. This person was connected with the BALCO scandal. As it was found out, this person supplied many elite sportspersons with anabolic steroids and other related medicines. He presented information about some athletes that acquired forbidden products from him.
Knowing that Angel “Memo” Hernandez has been a steroid dealer, numerous persons suppose that he provides performance-enhancing drugs to Juan Manuel Marquez. Certain suspicions and even accusations were expressed by Freddie Roach, Manny Pacquiao’s trainer. Freddie Roach expressed the desire to subject the both fighters Juan Manuel Marquez and Manny Pacquiao to testing before the ring.
In fact, Freddie Roach didn’t have any proof. He focused only on enhanced muscles of Juan Manuel Marquez.
Later Freddie Roach said that he didn’t mean anything serious. He claimed that he was just joking.
Angel “Memo” Hernandez noticed that he was not only a coach. Since he is a scientist, he possesses great knowledge. He knows the best methods to obtain muscle mass and gain strength. Angel “Memo” Hernandez notes that he knows the ways to do it legally. No any illegal medicine is included in his methods. But he refuses to disclose the ways. The coach affirms that this is a secret.
As for Juan Manuel Marquez, he claimed that he never administered any prohibited product. He claimed that it was not drugs which caused the obvious changes in his physique. Moreover, he added that weight was not the most important factor while fighting. According to the boxer, a fighter should possess intelligence, speed and strength in order to win.
Neither Juan Manuel Marquez, nor Manny Pacquiao was subjected to testing for prohibited medications before the fight. Such tests are commonly conducted by the Nevada State Athletic Commission after fights.

Pete Rose tries to convince others that he deserves to get second chance

The former MLB player Pete Rose is a clever individual. He sees own faults and don’t blame others for his problems. He is an example for other baseball players that have been disgraced for usage of steroids or other mistakes.
As for Pete Rose, he was never linked to steroids. This sportsman had essential success while playing baseball professionally. He received 3 World Series rings, a MVP award, 3 batting titles, 2 Gold Gloves, etc. Although Pete Rose didn’t apply anabolic steroids and other banned substances, he was found guilty of another mistake. This person gambled on baseball games. As a result, he was banned from the Hall of Fame permanently.
Pete Rose hopes that the decision will be changed and he will enter the Baseball Hall of Fame.
Being in Cooperstown, Pete Rose’s wife was full of displeasure. She and her husband, a former splendid baseball player, had to watch Hall of Fame festivities like ordinary individuals. While Pete Rose’s wife was very unhappy, the former professional baseball player seemed not to have the same feelings.
Pete Rose says that he has patience. He will continue to wait until he gets the second chance. The sportsman promises that he will never gamble on games again. He notices that the second chance will be enough for him to demonstrate that he is a trustworthy person. He will not need to get the 3rd chance.
Pete Rose puts efforts to urge his wife that he is not in the Hall of Fame because of own mistake. He says that they shouldn’t blame others. He is guilty. That’s why he is banned.
Pete Rose acknowledges that he is like Barry Bonds, Sammy Sosa, Roger Clemens and other sportspersons linked with the steroid era. Pete Rose says that Sammy Sosa, Roger Clemens and Barry Bonds are great baseball players that should be elected for the Hall of Fame. He underlines that Roger Clemens hasn’t entered the Baseball Hall of Fame just because of suspicions. This athlete hasn’t failed any drug test. You haven’t seen Roger Clemens having anabolic steroids and needles in his hand. That’s why you don’t have any right to affirm that he has applied these drugs. So, it is not correct to blame and punish the athlete while lacking proof.

Rich steroid-using athletes don’t go to jail

Does money cause happiness? Of course, it doesn’t. But money has essential power. However it can’t make you happy, it has ability to help to avoid prison in certain situations. Let review the cases related to Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens. Someone has probably believed that these individuals will lose. But you should not forget that rich guys never lose. Since they have money, they have many possibilities to win.
Barry Bonds was accused of lying to a grand jury. He said under the oath that he had never taken any banned preparations. It seemed that Barry Bonds’ cheating was evident and he would be sentenced to prison. But don’t forget: this baseball player has much money. However he was convicted for obstruction of justice, he was sentenced just to house arrest and community service. Moreover, he appealed even this light sentencing.
Roger Clemens, another baseball player, was charged with lying under oath too. He claimed that he had never taken any banned products. Finally, the baseball player was cleared of all charges. He didn’t lose too.
These cases display power of money. Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens have hired the best defense attorneys. Of course, you need much money in order to engage the best defense attorneys. Since Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens have money, they could engage Albert Pujols, Allen Ruby or Rustin Hardy. Thus, it is naturally that federal prosecutors have lost under these circumstances.
Federal prosecutors lost also in other situations. For example, let note the case against the prominent American cyclist Lance Armstrong. The government decided to drop the case because it would lose.
However the government wasted much money for these cases, it couldn’t win. Federal prosecutors had only insignificant results in the cases linked with Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens.
So, if you are a professional sportsperson, you may take anabolic steroids and/or other related medications, if you have money. You should be rich enough to avoid prison. Otherwise, you will be ashamed and sentenced to prison.

Kimberley Bell is accused, providing testimonies against Barry Bonds

Kimberley Bell, Barry Bonds’ ex girlfriend appeared in the court to testify against the sportsman. This woman affirmed that there were evident changes in body of Barry Bonds. She noted that the athlete’s head enhanced. Kimberley Bell also mentioned that he got shrunken testicles. Furthermore, he experienced hair loss and acne formation. According to this woman, Barry Bonds also had unusual behavior. He was very aggressive and impatient. Such changes are usually related to administration of anabolic steroids.
Barry Bonds threatened to his ex girlfriend. He asked her disappear. Otherwise, he would murder her.
Thus, Kimberley Bell’s testimonies served as a basis to continue accusing Barry Bonds of perjury and obstructing justice. Some years ago the baseball player said under oath that he had never used steroids. But as it turned out, he probably lied under oath.
Testifying against Barry Bonds, Kimberley Bell began to cry two times during the course. Once she was interrupted by a defense attorney for Barry Bonds.
Kimberley Bell was asked whether steroids were discussed by her and Barry Bonds. Bell said that once Barry Bonds affirmed that he was using anabolic steroids. The baseball player had an elbow injury around 1999-2000. The injury was very serious, according to Kimberley Bell. So, she asked Barry Bonds about the awful injury. The baseball player claimed that anabolic steroids induced enhancing muscles evidentially and quickly. As a result, the joint couldn’t handle so fast and essential changes in the size of muscles.
Chris Arguedas, a defense attorney for Barry Bonds, accused Kimberley Bell of attempts to become prominent and earn money because of her relations with the well-known athlete. She tried to promote selling a book about her relationships with Barry Bonds.

Integrity of baseball may be destroyed, if Roger Clemens and Barry Bonds don’t enter Hall of Fame

Such famous baseball players, as Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens and Mike Piazza, have not enter the Baseball Hall of Fame. Is it fair? These athletes have acquired splendid results while playing professional baseball. But it is stated that there is no any place for steroid users in the Hall of Fame.
Thus, several persons claim that if steroid users are elected for the Hall of Fame, it will have negative impact for future generations. Young individuals should realize that great baseball players are those that haven’t doped. Actually, this is nonsense. Barry Bonds, Mike Piazza and Roger Clemens are always considered to be the best baseball players. If even they are not elected for the Hall of Fame, they will be always praised. These sportspersons have achieved great results. No one can doubt about their achievements.
Let think logically. For example, you see the prettiest girl in the town. But she can’t win Miss of America. Does she lose its beauty? Do you stop realizing her beauty just because she hasn’t acquired the title of Miss of America? Answers are obvious. The same situation is with Roger Clemens, Barry Bonds and Mike Piazza. They are great players, regardless whether they will enter the Hall of Fame or not.
Barry Bonds won some MVPs before he was linked to steroids. Roger Clemens became prominent for his baseball skills before he was accused of steroid use. When it comes to Mike Piazza, no one can contest that he is one of the best catchers.
It is affirmed that the Baseball Hall of Fame is the place for the best baseball players that have ever played the game. Let suggest that Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens and Mike Piazza are not included in this category. Then we must create another category within the Baseball Hall of Fame. These players must be elected for the Hall of Fame. Otherwise, it loses its significance. Since the Hall of Fame is of greatness, it can’t exist without such excellent players, as Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens and Mike Piazza. Barry Bonds made games exciting. He showed amazing baseball skills long before he was accused of steroid use. The same things may be said about Roger Clemens and Mike Piazza. The Hall of Fame is nothing without these splendid players. That’s why it is necessary to consider these aspects and alter the attitude to these players and the Hall of Fame. Otherwise, the integrity of baseball will be destroyed.

If Lance Armstrong provides important information about doping, his ban may be reduced

A person who didn’t desire to be indentified has disclosed that Lance Armstrong is going to admit to taking prohibited substances during an interview with the American media proprietor Oprah Winfrey. Is this a right decision of the disgraced cyclist? Points of view differ. Certain individuals claim that if the American cyclist admits to doping, his reputation will be restored. Others affirm that the admission will alter nothing. Certain other persons believe that if Lance Armstrong does it, he will probably go to jail.
As you know, Lance Armstrong denied taking steroids and other forbidden drugs. He seemed to succeed till the USADA published a dossier on him. The USADA’s dossier provided doping evidence. As a result, the cyclist forfeited his 7 Tour de France titles. Moreover, his sponsors left him. In addition to these negative conditions, Lance Armstrong had to distance himself from the cancer-fighting foundation Livestrong in order to prevent negative influence of his problems on it.
Will Lance Armstrong admit to using forbidden products? Which will be consequences?
Some experts think that prosecution will take place, if Lance Armstrong admits to doping. The cyclist has pronounced under the oath that he never administered any forbidden products. So, if he admits to doping, it means that he admits to lying under the oath. As a result, he may be sentenced to prison. That’s why some experts claim that Lance Armstrong should continue denying doping.
But there are individuals who affirm that the admission will alter nothing. Millions of persons with cancer that have survived because of Livestrong praise Lance Armstrong. The former cyclist is a hero for them. These persons like the former cyclist, regardless of whether he has doped or not. If even Lance Armstrong admits to applying prohibited medicines throughout his cycling career, these persons will continue to support him.
But there is also another point of view. If Lance Armstrong presents important information about intake of performance-enhancing drugs in the US Postal Service Cycling Team, his ban from competitions may be reduced. Thus, the disgraced cyclist will probably compete again.
It is unclear whether Lance Armstrong will really admit and which results will follow.

What induced nominating legendary cyclist as Texan of the Year?

The Dallas Morning News is a daily newspaper which is very popular in the USA. Certain persons whose actions have substantial influence on the society are chosen every year for the “Texan of the Year” award. It is important to notice that not only positive actions are taken in consideration. Even actions that have been influenced on the society negatively may promote receiving the “Texan of the Year” award. So, Lance Armstrong’s doping scandal made the cyclist the finalist for the “Texan of the Year” award.
As you understand, Lance Armstrong’s doping scandal is not pleasant. Although this case disgraced the legendary American cyclist, it made him more prominent. The scandal had great impact on the society. Many persons discussed the situation related to his usage of anabolic steroids, EPO and other doping products. Many persons focused on the following questions: “Have Lance Armstrong actually taken doping products?”, Why has he lied?”, Which medicines have been taken by him?”, How could he remain undetectable?”, etc.
The Dallas Morning News didn’t fail to present positive actions of Lance Armstrong as well. The newspaper noted about efforts of the cyclist for the foundation that helps persons that suffer from cancer to survive. The athlete also induced developing centers for researches connected with treatment of cancer. The Dallas Morning News noted also about accomplishments of the athlete which were done during his cycling career. Since young age Lance Armstrong succeeded in cycling. He obtained numerous awards. Lance Armstrong won Tour de France 7 consecutive times.
Even testicular cancer couldn’t defeat the celebrated cyclist. Although the cancer spread over the body, Lance Armstrong escaped from this dreadful trouble. Furthermore, he came back to professional cycling after his treatment and continued succeeding. While all positive actions of Lance Armstrong didn’t make him a finalist for the “Texan of the Year” award, his doping case did it. Of course, the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) contributed to his award. A dossier on Lance Armstrong’s doping case was published by the USADA. Furthermore, the cyclist’s sponsors left him after it was proven that he had doped. Thus, many individuals were convinced that the cyclist had administered banned drugs.
Texans admired of Lance Armstrong, when he had success in cycling. But when this athlete fell down, they started to blame him. It is not surprisingly because this is the essence of Texans. While they like to make certain individuals heroes, they like to blame them too.

What troubles UFC president?

The UFC president Dana White supposes that many MMA fighters use marijuana. This person is troubled by this issue. While anti-doping agencies try to clean sports from administration of steroids and other related medicines, the UFC president notes that it is necessary to test fighters for recreational drugs randomly. Dana White affirms: “Forget about steroids!” He states that it is the time to be troubled by usage of marijuana and other recreational drugs by MMA fighters.
It is known that those who are caught administering anabolic steroids and/or other related medications are banned from competitions. Which sanctions are for those that are caught taking recreational drugs? You should know that the punishment is similar.
Don’t you wonder how many fighters test positive for marijuana and/or other related remedies, if random testing for recreational drugs will be conducted in the UFC?
475 fighters have signed contracts with the UFC. It is supposed that if random testing is established, approximately 80% of these fighters will test positive for these drugs.
The United State Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) and the Voluntary Anti-Doping Agency (VADA) would be glad to sign a contract with the UFC in order to eliminate doping from MMA. They claim that the UFC should have the same anti-doping program like other sports organizations have. But Dana White doesn’t desire to sign a contract with the USDADA and the VADA. He notes that the State Athletic Commission test fighters for prohibited substances. It is enough in order to clean the UFC from usage of banned drugs, according to the UFC president.
It becomes evident that the UFc president doesn’t desire to clean MMA from doping. Previously he has pronounced some statements for support of testosterone replacement therapy among fighters. He has affirmed that any fighter should take steroids under indications of his doctor, if he has hypogonadism. Athletes must obtain therapeutic use exemptions in order to compete professionally while using several steroids. But it is possible to suggest that therapeutic use exemptions often serve as an excuse for doping. A lot of celebrated fighters have acquired therapeutic use exemptions and apply steroids while fighting. Thus, doping continues prospering in MMA.
Why doesn’t Dana White put efforts to eradicate usage of performance-enhancing drugs and smoking pot from MMA? Think logically! The fight against doping and smoking will influence on business negatively.

Just hypocritical persons blame steroid use

Journalists frequently write articles about those that have unnaturally increased muscles and strength. Reading their statements, you can notice that those that administer anabolic steroids and/or other related products are harshly blamed. Such persons are criticized in the society. They are called “cheaters”. It is affirmed that those who administer steroids for athletic needs may get addiction to these medicines. Many articles also contain information about potential side effects of steroids. Although several side effects appear in steroid users, others are not proven scientifically. For example, it is widely reported about violence and murders committed by steroid users. It is claimed that steroids may cause uncontrolled behavior which results in crimes. However, so called “roid rage” connected with these drugs is considered to be a controversial issue.
Many persons claim that usage of anabolic steroids for enhancement of muscle mass and strength, hardening of muscles and fat burning is a moral issue. Let think! Is this affirmation free from hypocrisy? Why are only anabolic steroids blamed? Do just these medications make the society unnatural? Let analyze other conditions of our society! What do you think about sexual stimulants? It is said that you should not suffer from sexual disorders, when there are appropriate drugs to get rid of such problems. Moreover, what do you think about products for anti-aging purposes? Why should you have evident wrinkles, if there are ways to hide your age? Models and actors use certain products but they are not called “cheaters”. Students use several medicines in order to enhance their cognitive abilities. They are not demonized too. Some specialists that have conducted several studies claim that those that administer steroids for enhancement of physical capacities are more harshly blamed than those that apply some products to enhance cognitive capacities. Is it fair?
As you see, our world is full of hypocrisy, ignorance and unfair accusations. May you demonize consumers of steroids in this society? May you affirm that usage of steroids for performance-enhancing effects is a moral issue? Be real! If you begin to demonize steroid users, don’t forget about other conditions of life!

Dana White expresses loyalty for athletes with hypogonadism that should use steroids

Usage of anabolic steroids for testosterone replacement therapy by sportsmen is a controversial issue. There are a lot of debates linked with it. It is known by everyone that anabolic steroids and several other related medications are banned in numerous sports organizations. But if a person should apply these medications under indications of his/her doctor for medical needs, he/she should get a therapeutic use exemption. Although it is allowed to apply even anabolic steroids for therapeutic purposes, such athletes are frequently blamed and called “cheaters”. In fact, it is unfair.
What does Dana White, the UFC president, state about usage of steroids for testosterone replacement therapy? Does he blame fighters that take steroids in order to enhance their decreased levels of testosterone? Dana White claims that any person with hypogonadism should apply steroids, if these drugs are prescribed by his physician. Although it is fair, let notice why several sportspersons have reduced testosterone levels. It is proven scientifically that steroid abuse may lead to suppression of natural testosterone production. Thus, several fighters and other athletes that have taken previously steroids for performance-enhancing effects may have hypogonadism. Hence, their health care providers recommend them applying certain steroids in order to increase their testosterone levels.
According to Dana White, testosterone replacement therapy is legal for all individuals, including professional athletes. So, if any athlete experiences hypogonadism, he should be allowed to administer steroids indicated by his physician. He should get normal testosterone levels that characterize any healthy man of his age.
But Dana White makes it clear that any fighter or another sportsperson that takes anabolic steroids and/or other banned medications for athletic purposes must be suspended from competitions. It is needed to make difference between those that administer steroids for clinical needs and those that want to gain muscle mass and strength with the help these medications. Nobody is allowed to apply anabolic steroids for performance-enhancing effects. It is prohibited in sports. Those that break anti-doping rules should be punished. Sports must be free from doping.
It seems to be strange that affirmations of the UFC president differ substantially from statements presented by anti-doping officers. As you know, words of certain anti-doping officers for steroid users are much harsher than those pronounced by the UFC president.
