Just hypocritical persons blame steroid use

Journalists frequently write articles about those that have unnaturally increased muscles and strength. Reading their statements, you can notice that those that administer anabolic steroids and/or other related products are harshly blamed. Such persons are criticized in the society. They are called “cheaters”. It is affirmed that those who administer steroids for athletic needs may get addiction to these medicines. Many articles also contain information about potential side effects of steroids. Although several side effects appear in steroid users, others are not proven scientifically. For example, it is widely reported about violence and murders committed by steroid users. It is claimed that steroids may cause uncontrolled behavior which results in crimes. However, so called “roid rage” connected with these drugs is considered to be a controversial issue.
Many persons claim that usage of anabolic steroids for enhancement of muscle mass and strength, hardening of muscles and fat burning is a moral issue. Let think! Is this affirmation free from hypocrisy? Why are only anabolic steroids blamed? Do just these medications make the society unnatural? Let analyze other conditions of our society! What do you think about sexual stimulants? It is said that you should not suffer from sexual disorders, when there are appropriate drugs to get rid of such problems. Moreover, what do you think about products for anti-aging purposes? Why should you have evident wrinkles, if there are ways to hide your age? Models and actors use certain products but they are not called “cheaters”. Students use several medicines in order to enhance their cognitive abilities. They are not demonized too. Some specialists that have conducted several studies claim that those that administer steroids for enhancement of physical capacities are more harshly blamed than those that apply some products to enhance cognitive capacities. Is it fair?
As you see, our world is full of hypocrisy, ignorance and unfair accusations. May you demonize consumers of steroids in this society? May you affirm that usage of steroids for performance-enhancing effects is a moral issue? Be real! If you begin to demonize steroid users, don’t forget about other conditions of life!
