Adderall serves as excuse for those that are caught using steroids

The National Football League is not permitted to disclose details, when players violate anti-doping rules. It is only affirmed that certain persons have tested positive for prohibited preparations. But the League must not report which substances have been administered by these athletes. Thus, several football players lie about medicines that have led to positives.
Why do some football players choose to lie about drugs which have been taken by them? Let explain.
Many football players that fail drug tests say that they have taken Adderall. In fact, they have taken anabolic steroids. Why do they say that they have tested positive for Adderall? What does Adderall represent? This is a drug which is used for treatment of attention-deficit disorder. But this medication is administered not just for this clinical purpose. Athletes and bodybuilders take this medication for athletic goals.
As for anabolic steroids, they are harshly blamed. Many reporters, specialists, anti-doping officials and ordinary individuals claim that these drugs are very dangerous. They may cause various severe side results. Steroids are blamed even for several crimes. But as for Adderall, this medication is not blamed in the society. Thus, numerous football players try to avoid criticism. They don’t desire to be blamed for application of such banned products, as anabolic steroids. Since users of Adderall are not criticized harshly, football players claim that they have failed drug tests because they have applied Adderall.
A football player compared this situation with following cases: those that are busted with cocaine tell others that they have applied marijuana because cocaine is more harshly demonized than the last one.
You should not suggest that every football player that says that he has tested positive for Adderall has actually applied anabolic steroids. But it is possible to claim that those that apply Adderall are less demonized than those that apply steroids.
